Aspects of a Responsible Breeder
It is important that you get your puppy from a breeder that follows ethical guidelines and is interested in producing quality dogs.

Puppies
- Quality Parents
- We use dams/sires chosen for personality and clean genetics*
- Upbringing
- Early Neurological Stimulation
- Raised in a home with daily interaction with various noises, stimulation, unique to family environment
- Potty Training
- Early introduction helps puppies associate outdoors with going to the bathroom
- Health
- Puppies are wormed based on recommended frequencies
- Dew claws removed
- Vet check and 1st round of vaccinations
* We genetic test our dogs through Embark genetic testing and Animal Genetics

Breeding Dogs
- We don't overbreed
- We follow evidence-based breeding to support the number of times we breed our dams (usually 3-4 litters)
- Dams typically are bred on their second heat cycle to allow for sufficient growth of the mother.
- We follow evidence-based breeding guidelines as to how often dams our breed. Intervals between litters typically allow for a heat cycle in between breeding to improve the health of the mother.
- Quality home life
- Each dam/sire is placed in a home where they can receive proper attention and love
- Health
- Each dam/sire is up to date on vaccinations, and regular vet visits

Interaction with Clients

- Help match puppy personality to right home/situations

- Provide resources, knowledge, and recommendations to clients to improve successful integration of puppy into family.
